THE KINSEY FAMILY COOKS
Rooted in the heart of Miami, the Kinsey family has always been more than just a name, it’s a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable meals. Every Saturday, we’d gather around the table, sharing stories, good times, and of course, incredible food. Now, carrying on that legacy, A Taste of Miami serves up the same soul-warming food that’s been a part of our family for generations. Meet the family members behind the secret recipes and flavors that make our food something you simply can’t forget.

GRANDMA ROSA MAE
Born in Alabama, then setting up roots in Miami, Rosa Mae was the heart of the family. The kind of woman who could feed your spirit and your belly in one plate. Every recipe she passed down carried her warmth, her wisdom, and a piece of home. She cooked with love, and it showed.

BIG WALT
A single father, a steady hand, and a neighborhood protector. From his ranch in Miami, he opened his home and his heart to kids who needed guidance - becoming a father figure to many. Yes, his baked beans were famous, but his legacy was his big heart.

uncle jeebie
A proud Vietnam vet, Uncle Jeebie carried strength in his silence and love in everything he did. Family was his mission, and he showed it through presence, protection, and perfectly smoked ribs. He taught us that loyalty starts at home.

AUNTIE CAROL
In every family photo and every potluck memory, Auntie Carol is there. Vibrant, nurturing, and unforgettable. She carried the soul of the family with grace, always offering comfort, laughter, and a plate full of love. A Taste of Miami wouldn’t be the same without her.

Seneca Kinsey
As the founder of A Taste of Miami, Seneca carries forward a rich legacy built by the hands of their family. Every dish is a living story seasoned by generations, served with pride, and rooted in the soul of Miami. This is more than tradition. This is home.
